QuantoTech has shipped two QFarms, one destined for Ontario, the other for Nova Scotia.

The QFarm is a vertical, hydroponic, micro farm suitable for small communities with populations of around 500 or less. Each QFarm ships plug-and-play with everything you need to start growing… down to the pens.

QuantoTech was excited to participate in B.C.’s Agritech Ramp-Up Pilot Program and receive $25,000 as one of the winners of the Business Development Grant provided by IAF for Cohort 1.

QuantoTech has teamed up with the University of the Fraser Valley and i-Open Technologies Inc. to explore innovative ways of addressing food system vulnerabilities and increasing resilience in the face of climate change and economic shocks.
Three outcomes to the study
It is clear that the increasing risk of food shortages are on the forefront of peoples’ minds. Vertical farming is one emerging mechanism to help reduce these stresses.
